Alpha DAO is Live!
We are delighted to announce that Alpha DAO phase 1 is live! As a part of the Alpha DAO Phase 1, we are working with Commonwealth to launch Alpha Forum, which is accessible at https://commonwealth.im/alpha-finance
With the launch of Alpha DAO Phase 1, the Alpha Team will focus on driving engagement with the community, decentralizing product ideation and tech development through grants, and highlighting transparency in what we are working on. We believe that decentralization and transparency are key for Alpha, and the community will play a big role in that with Alpha DAO.
Alpha Temporary Designators
With Alpha DAO Phase 1, Alpha Thinkers will be able to start submitting Grant proposals on Alpha Forum and they will be evaluated and approved/rejected by Alpha Temporary Designators (ATD). The ATDs will include a few Alpha team members and Alpha community members, or Alpha Wolves, who have vested interest in Alpha Finance Lab and are committed to the long term success of Alpha going forward.
The end goal of Alpha DAO is definitely to have 100% of the decision power in the hands of the community. However, we have taken this step to appoint ATDs in Phase 1 to ensure the smooth transition of Alpha DAO. The ATDs will be in position till Alpha DAO phase 2, where the community will elect a council for evaluation of Grant proposals.

Alpha Forum
The Alpha Forum is where the minds of the Alpha Team and community can come together to discuss all things Alpha. Anything related to various developments, new ideas, product insights and even partnerships will be discussed here between community members and the Alpha Team.
We envision this space to be the brewing ground for many new and innovative ideas as well as contributions to scaling and decentralizing Alpha Finance Lab!
Getting Started on Alpha Forum
In order to start using Alpha Forum, you will have to connect your wallet or register with your email address on https://commonwealth.im/alpha-finance. Users can change the connected wallet later on in the profile section, if they have selected the wrong wallet. Currently Alpha Forum, which is powered by Commonwealth, supports Metamask and WalletConnect.
After the initial registration, you will be prompted with a profile section that asks for your name. Feel free to be creative in any way you like!

Twitter Space
We’ll be organizing a bi-weekly Twitter Space session that will allow anyone to contribute and discuss various topics with the core Alpha team and other Alpha Wolves. Alpha Wolves can also contribute to discussion topics on the Alpha Forum too!

Alpha Podcast
The Alpha Podcast will serve as a platform for discussing upcoming Alpha Products, Alpha Launchpad projects, potential partners, usages and even key discussions from the Alpha Forum. Alpha Wolves will also be invited to join the discussion if they are active within the community or bring up any interesting topics for discussion.
We are planning to have the first edition of Alpha Podcast to be published towards the middle of September, so stay tuned for that!
Closing Thoughts
Phase 1 of Alpha DAO will lay out an excellent foundation for community engagement , decentralization of tech development at Alpha, and increased transparency for the community.
