Alpha Vision And Roadmap
Our Vision
We want to start first by reiterating the focus of Alpha Finance Lab (Alpha). Alpha is a project that is focused on building out an ecosystem of cross-chain DeFi products that will capture unaddressed demand in DeFi in an innovative and user friendly way.
This focus underpins the opportunities we choose to evaluate and decisions we make, as we cannot capture every opportunity, but rather only the ones that have clear unaddressed demand and market gaps. By doing so, we will be able to thrive and dominate in such verticals, continue to disrupt the industry, and bring superior value proposition compared to existing solutions in the market.
ALPHA tokens will continue to be the key component of the growing Alpha ecosystem, starting from governance voting to more utilities as the usages of Alpha products grow. We are learning from and applying this approach from the most successful projects in the DeFi space, such as Uniswap, Compound, and AAVE.

Alpha Homora has unlocked many unique use cases that cannot be found anywhere else in DeFi.

For anyone who wants to lend ETH 👉 Alpha Homora now generates the highest lending APY on ETH in the market (no need to rely on yield farming APY).
For anyone who wants to yield farm (even without leverage) 👉 Alpha Homora will be the go-to aggregate yield farming protocol that brings better user experience and maximizes alpha on your yield farming positions through unique features, such as loss-minimizing/gas-saving features, optimal swap functionality, and automatic reinvestment functionality.
Alpha Homora Product Expansion Going Forward
For the rest of 2020, we will focus on adding yield farming pools, driving usage of Alpha Homora, and marketing these unique use cases and features.
The initiatives we are looking to do include:
- Create more educational materials on Alpha Homora to make sure users and potential users fully understand the upsides and risks associated with leveraged yield farming
- Market Alpha Homora through various marketing channels
- Conduct referral program to bootstrap network effects
- Continue and expand on liquidity mining program for ALPHA token as an additional incentive to bootstrap Alpha Homora usages (more details on liquidity mining program will be shared later)
Product Development Roadmap
As we have shared a teaser on the next Alpha product (in perpetual swap segment) in the previous announcement, we will continue to focus our engineering and product development resources to build and launch this product.
We have completed the product ideation process, written litepaper to discuss with various thought leaders in the DeFi space, and finished proof-of-concept of smart contract.
The development plan shown below outlines the next steps of product development until the launch. While we want to put the exact date and time of each milestone, it is difficult to estimate as there can be unknown factors. However, this is the focus of our engineering and research team now, and we are working hard on building this product that will be safe and achieve product-market fit.
